Prime Minister Layton?

Is it possible that Canadians will elect first ever socialdemocratic government? It is, according to the polls. Recent surge of popularity of NDP forced the Liberals and Conservatives to scramble for new tactics. Well, to be tru to reality – it is rather next to impossible to envision Jack Layton leading a majority in the House of Commons after May 2. But so it is almost impossible to see Steven Harper in the same role. And he tried already, what: 3 or 4 times?
I still think that it is high time for the silly party apparatchiks (for this is sadly what MP’s in Ottawa have become) to get together and form a truly national coalition government. And I think that Jack Layton would be a perfect choice to lead it. We are tired of having a government formed by a party that obviously most Canadians don’t trust. For this is exactly what a minority government means. At least a coalition would give a government a moral conviction that it does represent the wishes of the majority of Canadians.
Well, whatever and whomever you might elect – get on with it tomorrow. Go and vote. Or shut up and stop complaining.
